The questions every prospective founder asks before they step through the gate.
IHow do I get into the closed beta?
Register your interest and choose Android. Access is granted in waves — we hand out descent keys in batches as we widen the test, so a registered seat is not instant. Your invitation arrives at the email you registered with.
IIWill my progress be wiped?
Expect at least one full wipe before launch. The beta exists to test and tune cultivation balance, so levels, gear, and currency may be reset between major builds. Your Founder honors are the exception — title, mount, and regalia are bound to your account and survive every wipe.
IIIWhich platforms can I play on?
The beta begins on Android (Google Play). iOS (App Store) and the full desktop client on Steam — Windows, Mac, and Linux — follow in later waves. One account and one save carry across every device.
IVIs there an NDA?
No strict NDA — you are free to stream, capture, and share what you see. We only ask that you mark footage as pre-release beta so viewers know the realm is still unfinished. Bug reports and balance feedback go through the private Founder Council channel, not public threads.
VDoes the beta cost anything?
The closed beta is completely free Free Access — no purchase, no founder pack, no paywall. If any optional storefront appears during testing, it runs on beta currency only, and every transaction is wiped with the rest. No real money changes hands in the beta.
VIDo I need an account?
Yes — one Shadowmire account follows you across every device, so your cultivation never splits between phone and desktop. You can sign in with email or continue with Google. Registering for the beta reserves your account ahead of time.
